Maple Cream Bonbons
1 cup butter, no substitutes, softened
3 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
3 tablespoons maple flavoring
2 cups chopped walnuts
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cups butterscotch chips
In a mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar and maple flavoring until smooth.
Stir in walnuts. Shape into 1-inch balls and place on wax paper lined baking
sheets. Freeze until firm.
In a microwave or heavy saucepan, melt the chocolate and butterscotch chips
together. Dip the balls in melted mixture and place back on wax paper. Refrigerate
until hardened. Store in the refrigerator.
Makes 5 dozen bonbons.
