Woof Woof Waffles

Makes 12 servings.

4 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1 egg
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 3/4 cups water

Heat oven to 325 degrees F.

Mix all ingredients together. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead well. Roll dough out to a 1/2-inch thick and cut out 8-inch squares. Place each square on a cold waffle iron and press down the dough in order to make the waffle impression. Place waffles on a greased baking sheet and bake for 1 hour.

Cool and serve each waffle broken into quarters. Store in an airtight container.
