Snickerpoodles recipe
Makes 24 cookies.
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup honey
2 eggs
3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup cornmeal
Mix oil, shortening, honey and eggs. Beat well. Add flour, baking soda and cream of tartar. Knead dough until well mixed. Shape into balls of desired size.
Mix cornmeal and cinnamon. Roll balls in mixture. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Press balls with fork. Bake 10 minutes at 400 degrees F. Cool and store in airtight container.
