Coconut Snowballs Mix in a Jar

Layer the following in a quart-size jar:

2/3 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 cups sweetened coconut flakes, lightly packed

Attach the following recipe on a gift tag:

Coconut Snowballs

Heat oven to 325 degrees F. Coat 2 baking sheets with cooking spray.

Beat 4 large egg whites in bowl until stiff, but not dry, peaks form. Beat in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and contents of jar. Drop batter by rounded teaspoonsful 1-inch apart onto prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Let cookies cool briefly on baking sheets then transfer to wire racks to cool.
