Fire Starters

Pine cones
Sawdust
Wax (old candle stubs or purchase at craft store)
Color (table salt for yellow, no-salt substitute for violet,
    borax for green)

Add color ingredient of choice to the sawdust.

Melt wax in a double boiler and not directly on the stove as the heated wax may ignite.

Dip the pine cones in melted wax, then roll in prepared sawdust.

Group fire starters in a decorated basket or other decorative container to give as gifts.
