Double Chocolate Truffle Kiss Cookies recipe
1 cup softened butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 bag Hershey's chocolate kisses *
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cream butter, sugar and vanilla extract together.
In a separate bowl, stir together flour and cocoa. Blend into butter-sugar mixture, mixing well. Refrigerate overnight for best results.
Mold a scant tablespoon of dough around each kiss, covering completely, then shape into balls. Bake on cookie sheet for approximately 8 - 11 minutes or until set. Cool.
Roll in confectioners' sugar. Let sit then repeat rolling in confectioners' sugar.
Store in an airtight container.
* Use a variety of Hershey's Kisses that are available during the holidays.
